Taken By Storm

In 2012, Kevin saves a Guy Fieri signed croc given to him by Mario Batali floating in 8 feet of water. We were crushed by hurricane sandy with up to 14 feet of water damaging our entire restaurant. We lost many of our supplies, decorations and furnishings but tried to recover as many things we possibly could. This was a long and rough 3 years for Grandma’s House as we waited for government assistance to help get the place back up and running.

We have now opened up an all-new location in downtown Brooklyn on Atlantic Avenue near the Barclays center. We’ve been working very hard to get our restaurant back up and running so our customers can enjoy dinner at Grandma’s House again, just like it used to be.

Grandma Welcomes

Harry Connick Jr. To

New York City

Grandma honors New Orleans legend Harry Connick Jr. by naming “Harry’s Fresh New Orleans Shrimp Chips” to our list of “Brooklyn Famous Chips” along side our “Brooklyn Bacon Chips” made with “Peter Lugar Bacon” and our fresh “Brooklyn Mutz Chips” made from Di Palo’s hand made fresh mozzarella. HEY! what is a Brooklyn Chip? It is a piece of meat, fish or cheese dipped in light batter and rolled in crash Herr’s Potato Chips.
